Up Live House is located in the Yiwu 1970 Cultural and Creative Park, and it is a popular professional live music venue in the local area. The venue has a spacious area, creating a cinema-level audio-visual space with the core feature of 360° immersive experience. Equipped with a professional audio system and cool stage lighting, it presents a shocking music scene for the audience.
As a place integrating music performances and social entertainment, it gathers professional resident singers, focuses on diverse music styles, and has a national trend atmosphere. It provides food and beverages such as beer and foreign wine, as well as supporting snacks like braised food and fruit plates, allowing the audience to enjoy the music carnival in a slightly tipsy state. Its core positioning is to provide a space for urban people to release pressure, and it has become a popular check-in spot in Yiwu’s nightlife and cultural and creative park with its close-range interaction and professional sound effects.
The cooperation between Braun Lighting and Up Livehouse started in the preparation stage of the venue. The two parties carried out in-depth technical co-creation with the core goal of “building Yiwu’s top immersive live music scene”. The Braun Lighting team first conducted on-site surveys of the venue’s spacious space, and tailored the lighting system scheme in combination with the 360° immersive audio-visual positioning and diverse performance scene requirements.
In the scheme, the lighting equipment in various areas complement each other’s functions, forming a three-dimensional light effect network covering the entire venue: the professional computer lights on the main stage can accurately match the music rhythm through multi-channel control, high-speed stroboscope and color mixing system; the beam lights in the audience area can project sharp light beams and turn flexibly, constructing a wrapped visual matrix; the Wash lights around the stage support full-color output and linear dimming, realizing the delicate presentation of atmosphere layout and color transition.
The lighting system also plays an important role in the venue’s characteristic activities. When featuring song performances, the lighting system switches to soft gradient warm-toned light and shadow according to the lyrical and healing music mood, and cooperates with the follow spot light to focus on the stage singer, creating an immersive emotional comfort space for the frustrated people and helping the activity achieve the goal of “releasing emotions through on-site music interaction”.
In the technical implementation stage, Braun set up a special debugging team to be stationed on-site for refined construction. Through a professional signal system, the lighting and the venue’s audio system were deeply synchronized and linked for programming, and multiple sets of preset modes were developed for different music styles such as rock, folk and pop: during rock performances, the lighting realizes the precise correspondence between stroboscope and beam swing with the drumbeat rhythm; in the lyrical song segment, the dyeing lights switch to soft gradient colors, cooperating with the follow spot light to highlight the stage focus. In addition, the two parties also signed a long-term service agreement, and Braun provides quarterly on-site inspection, consumable replacement and system upgrade maintenance services to ensure the long-term stable operation of the lighting equipment.
This cooperation not only realized the “integration of technology and art”, but also turned the 360° immersive experience from a concept into reality – the lighting can capture the ups and downs of music emotions in real time, wrap the audience through the hierarchical changes of color, light and shade, and dynamics, and form a good audio-visual cooperation with the professional audio system, helping the venue rank among the popular Live House list in central Zhejiang in the first year of its opening with its unique experience. The lighting system under this in-depth cooperation can be dynamically adjusted according to the performance rhythm and music mood, creating a diverse atmosphere through the switching of cold and warm colors and the change of beam levels – it can not only create a tense visual impact for enthusiastic songs, but also lay a delicate and soft light and shadow background for quiet melodies, further strengthening Up Livehouse’s core competitiveness of “immersive music scene” and becoming an important highlight to attract the audience to check in many times.
